Implementing MFA

I implemented multi-factor authentication to strengthen account security while minimizing user friction. The process began with evaluating authentication methods, disabling legacy authentication, and enforcing MFA based on user roles and access requirements. I used Conditional Access policies to apply MFA intelligently, ensuring higher-risk sign-ins required additional verification without unnecessarily disrupting trusted workflows.

To support adoption, I validated configurations, tested sign-in scenarios, and addressed edge cases such as service accounts and remote access. I also monitored sign-in activity after deployment to confirm policies were functioning as intended. By balancing security controls with usability, the MFA implementation significantly reduced the risk of credential compromise while maintaining a smooth user experience.
